Tymberhavene’s name is at Laurel this month and they hope to expedite notification when it passes.  At the Heralds meeting they discussed how well done Tymberhavene’s name is.

Offered assistance with Name and Device Registration, explained the difference between Device and Coat of Arms

~ Deputy Seneschal ~

Reported on Sport of Kings where he attended both List running classes and waterbearing classes.

Water Bearing:  No one under the age of 16 is permitted on the war field

Lists:  He reports collecting lots of great information that will be shared including forms for tournaments to make list keeping easier.

Sports Nutrition (herald input) Class on how to keep fighters hydrated with non commercial items.  Avoid things with high fructose, aspartame and other sweetening agents.

Eat Raisins and Peanuts

In 2011 Sport of Kings is being planned as a 10day event.

~ Exchequer ~

Reporting that we now have $21.00 in cash, he will get a money order to send along with his report to Brother Al in Adiantum.

~ Chatelaine ~

seeking ideas on classes to help new comers feel more at ease and at home in Tymberhavene

Went to the Brookings Ren Faire and met people from both Allyshia and Wuduholt be Secg

Discussed the differences between the SCA and a Ren Faire for newcomers.

Attended a local event called “A night Out” which took place at Ferry Road Park.  Walked around in Garb and generated interest in the Shire.

Discussed upcoming events that Tymberhavene has been invited to participate in:  Octoberfish and Fun Festival

Discussed out meeting notices getting out into the local papers so that others interested in the SCA can find us.

Is developing a Newcomer/Media pamphlet to help decipher some SCA terminology for better press coverage, she was advised that we need to send final copy to Kingdom Chatelaine so that they know what Tymberhavene is handing out.

Shared some information with everyone about her position and read some information regarding a newcomer’s first event and how to help them feel more comfortable.

Plans on sharing a tidbit each month to familiarize everyone with things that we didn’t know or learned and forgot.

~ Arts &Science ~

Discussed A&S competition for Birthday Bash, was asked to get a copy of the rules she wishes to apply to the competition to Katla for inclusion in Birthday Bash publicizing.

Also asked for anyone in the Shire interested in displaying items to bring them to Birthday Bash for an A&S display.

~ Equestrian Officer ~

Still looking at sites for a potential May event.  Aine, Skerri, Marvel checked out Bullard’s Beach, Horse Fall and Riley Ranch.  It was suggested that they also check out Mast Ranch as rumor has it they would love to host a horse event.  Will also be looking at Coos County Fair Grounds, Curry County Fair Grounds and Cape Blanco.

Revealed that in order to be a certified rider you must be able to “behead the enemy”

~ Gold Key ~

Tymberhavene now possesses 2 storage totes full of donated Garb and she is still seeking donations

Has fabric for a gold key pavilion, donated frame was too brittle to work with.  Katla to ask Adiantum for their plans for creating the 12X12 structures they use.

Was asked to create an inventory list of things in Gold Key as they will have to be included as part of Tymberhavene’s assets when our Exchequer sends in his report.

OLD BUSINESS

Harvest Festival in Myrtle Point has invited Tymberhavene to vend for a fee of $15.00, Tymberhavene declined, however Fjorlief did take the application and will perhaps have a booth to sell her rocks and jewelry, she invited Tymberhavene to join her in sharing information with the public at that event.
